AP Psychology practice test: 40 original multiple-choice questions with answers and explanations, written for the revised AP Psychology course and grouped by its five units, eight questions each: Biological Bases of Behavior (neurons and drugs, the brain, sleep, sensation), Cognition (perception, heuristics and problem solving, memory, testing), Development and Learning (research methods in development, Piaget, attachment, Erikson, classical and operant conditioning, observational learning), Social Psychology and Personality (attribution, cognitive dissonance, the bystander effect, the Big Five, self-efficacy, motivation, emotion) and Mental and Physical Health (stress and coping, psychological disorders, treatment). Eight of the 40 are research methods and data questions (heritability, median vs mean, serial position, reliability and validity, longitudinal design, correlation, double-blind design, independent variables). As of October 2026, College Board's AP Central says the revised course and exam took effect in the 2024-25 school year; the exam is fully digital in the Bluebook app and runs 2 hours 40 minutes. Section I is 75 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes (66.7% of the score). Section II is two free-response questions in 70 minutes (33.3%): the Article Analysis Question (one summarized peer-reviewed source, up to 7 points) and the Evidence-Based Question (three summarized sources, up to 7 points). This video covers multiple choice only. Each of the five units is weighted at 15-25% of the exam. AP scores run from 1 to 5 (3 = qualified, 4 = very well qualified, 5 = extremely well qualified); each college sets its own credit and placement policy. The 2027 AP Psychology exam is scheduled for Friday, May 14, 2027 (session 2). Our 32-of-40 target is a planning estimate, not an official cutoff, and cannot predict an AP score.
