PiCAT test explained with a 30-question PiCAT practice test, for Army, Navy and Air Force applicants. As of October 2026, the official ASVAB site says the PiCAT (Pending Internet Computerized Adaptive Test) is the unproctored version of the CAT-ASVAB you take from home: about 2 to 3 hours, finish within 48 hours of starting, taken only once, and followed by a 25 to 30 minute proctored verification test at MEPS within 45 days. We cover how many questions, how long, what is a good score, the score chart by branch (ask your recruiter: the official site publishes no single chart), retakes, how long your score is good for, and what happens after. Practice set: word knowledge, paragraph comprehension, arithmetic reasoning and math knowledge, original questions, not real test questions. Not affiliated with the Department of Defense or any military branch.
