A free full-length Arizona notary practice test: 54 original questions on Arizona notary law, every answer explained, each checked against the October 2026 Arizona Notary Public Reference Manual, A.R.S. 41-251 to 41-333 and the Secretary of State's rules (A.A.C. R2-12). The state does not publish topic weights, so the eight topics and counts are our own grouping: Commission and qualifications (8), Notarial acts and certificates (9), Signer identification and satisfactory evidence (7), Journal and records including thumbprints (7), The notary seal (5), Fees (5), Prohibited acts and penalties (7) and Remote online notarization (6). As of October 2026, per the Arizona Secretary of State: since July 1, 2025 (A.R.S. 41-270) new and renewing notaries must pass the exam: 45 multiple-choice questions from the 2026 manual in 60 minutes, online or at a Pearson test center, $35 per attempt, 80% to pass (36 of 45); the manual is built into the exam and no printed copy is allowed; 3 attempts, then a 30-day wait; a pass is valid 90 days. Applicants must be 18+, a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident and an Arizona resident for income tax purposes; the bond is $5,000 for 4 years, the filing fee $43 ($25 application + $18 bond filing), and fees are no charge up to $10 per notary signature (R2-12-1102). Since September 12, 2026 (SB 1479) the signer's right thumbprint goes in the journal for deeds, quitclaim deeds, deeds of trust, other real property documents and powers of attorney. Our 44-of-54 target (about 80%) mirrors the state's passing score but is our own practice goal, not a prediction. Questions are original, not real exam questions.
